Chrome extension · Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Gem, Rippling · LinkedIn, Indeed, Craigslist, Glassdoor, ZipRecruiter
Stop retyping your resume.
Making job search suck a LOT less
JobWhat fills Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Gem and Rippling from a profile you set up once — you review and submit. On LinkedIn, Indeed, Craigslist, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter it colours viewed and hidden jobs so you never reopen the same listing, with view, hide, log and watch. Queue on LinkedIn. Craigslist, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter: icons only (no autofill, no queue). Your profile and resume stay in your browser, and we never sell your data.
Free keeps everything you need to track and apply, with some AI to try it — no card. Pro is $9/month or $49/year with AI included — no account, no licence key.
Three steps, then it's just clicking
Set up once
Drop in your resume. JobWhat reads your name, contact details, work history and education on your machine and fills your profile. Answer the work-authorization and EEO questions a single time.
Search LinkedIn as usual
Every job card gets log, hide, queue, watch and a resume-score dial. Cards colour themselves as you go: green applied, yellow viewed, red hidden, blue queued — with status chicklets under the icons so nothing gets buried.
Apply in one click, or let the queue do it
On any Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Gem or Rippling form, press Autofill and review. Or queue jobs from LinkedIn and JobWhat opens each one in a background tab and fills it. With Auto Submit, complete Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby forms with nothing to review are submitted; otherwise you press Submit. Every result is logged.
Job boards
Works on the boards you already search
View, hide, log and watch on Craigslist, Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter — coloured so you never open the same job twice. Queue on LinkedIn. Autofill stays on the ATS boards below; Craigslist, Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter are icons only (no autofill, no queue).
Autofill
Autofill on six applicant tracking systems
Press Autofill on Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Gem and Rippling. Auto Submit sends Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby forms only when everything is filled and nothing needs review; otherwise you review and submit. Or queue from LinkedIn and let JobWhat fill in the background, with the same rules.
What's new
Improved job tracker
The log and LinkedIn controls grew up. Watch roles you're not ready to apply to, score a posting against your resume before you queue it, and keep every status chicklet on its own line so the action icons stay usable.
- ✓Watch — save a job to the log without queuing or autofilling; press Queue in the tracker when you're ready
- ✓Status chicklets (Queued, Watching, Applied…) sit under the icons so + − ≡ watch and the dial stay free
- ✓One searchable log for applied, watched, viewed, hidden and queued — notes, reminders, CSV export
- ✓Queue from Watching when you're ready to autofill — without losing the rest of your controls
Director of Accounting · Robinhood
Saved for later — not in the apply queue until you press Queue.
Icons stay on the first row; the status chicklet lands underneath.

Solid fit — a few targeted updates
Strong background in engineering management, developer experience, and CI/CD — aligning well with the Senior Software Engineering Manager role.
Recommendation analysis →You: Senior Manager / Director of Developer Experience → Role: Senior Software Engineering Manager
GEICO · Senior Director, Developer Experience
Update resume to highlight CI/CD strategy across 1,500 engineers and enterprise release ownership…
Copy bulletsEverything the job search needs, none of what it doesn't
No job board of our own, no "AI interview coach". Just the parts that save hours — including scoring a posting before you apply.
Autofill on six ATSs
Names, contact, links, location, education, work authorization, EEO, resume and cover letter — including react-select dropdowns, searched school lists and Workday's multi-step wizard. Presses Submit for you only on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, when everything is filled and nothing needs review (Auto Submit, can be turned off).
A better LinkedIn
Log a job as applied, hide the ones you won't take, watch the ones you're still deciding, queue the ones you will. Resume-score dials and status chicklets follow you across every search.
Queue and Auto Submit
Queue a job and JobWhat follows the company's Apply link and fills the form. On Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, Auto Submit sends it when everything is filled and nothing needs review; otherwise the tab stays open for you to press Submit, with the reason logged.
AI for the odd question
For questions the rules don't know, an AI model answers from your profile — opt-in, with a plain list of what gets sent before you turn it on. Every AI answer is flagged for you to check.
AI Resume Analysis
Score any posting against your resume, see position and skills fit, then get JD-grounded bullet updates you can copy — right on LinkedIn and ATS pages.
One log of everything
Applied, watched, viewed, hidden and queued in one searchable list. Filters, your own status names, editable dates, multi-line notes, reminders that light up when due, CSV export — and Queue from Watching when you're ready to autofill.
Your data is never sold
Profile, resume and log live in the extension's storage in your browser. Optional community insights are off by default; when enabled they are anonymous and shared only with other JobWhat users. AI features and cloud sync send data only when you use them. Export or erase everything with one click.
Watch now, queue later
Save a role to your log without queuing or autofilling — keep LinkedIn searching. When you're ready, Queue from Watching and JobWhat picks up the Apply link from there.
Reminders that light up
Pin a date, title and note on any log row. On and after the due date the row lights up and the toolbar badge counts what's due — dismiss one, or reset all from the log or Settings.
AI Assist
Never get stuck on a question again
Some required questions the rules just can't answer — a company-specific screener, an odd multiple-choice. AI Assist reads the question, suggests an answer from your profile, and once you approve it, remembers it for every job after.
- ✓Flagged right in the badge — no separate tab or popup to check
- ✓One approval and it's remembered — the same question never stops the queue twice
- ✓Every suggested answer is shown before it's used, never applied silently
- ✓Opt-in: the rest of autofill works from your profile alone until you turn AI on
Are you legally authorized to work in the United States? *
Remembered as "work authorization" — the next form with this question fills itself.
LinkedIn queue
Turbo Charge LinkedIn Submissions
Work a results page top to bottom and queue everything worth applying to as fast as you can scan. JobWhat works through the pile in the background — opening each posting, filling the form and, with Auto Submit, sending complete Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby forms with nothing to review — while you keep browsing, or close the tab entirely. Anything else waits for you to press Submit.
- ✓Queue a dozen jobs in the time it'd take to open and review one
- ✓Runs in background tabs — no need to keep LinkedIn open
- ✓Every outcome logged: Auto-submitted, Needs answers, or Failed submit
- ✓Each answer you give clears similar questions on the next job, too
Community
JobWhat Community Network
Resolving a leftover question helps the next person on a similar form, and the fills get sharper as more people run into the same questions. The network improves with time, from your contributions and everyone else's. Your answers stay on your computer.
- ✓Answer a leftover or custom question once. The extension remembers it and fills that question on your later forms.
- ✓Sharing sends the question's label and options only — never your answer — so the next person queued for that job is asked before the run starts.
- ✓Odd wordings and form quirks from repeated misses are reviewed and shipped as matching improvements. Not resumes, and not copies of anyone's answers.
- ✓On by default. Turn it off in Settings → Share the questions a form asked that nothing could answer.
- Question patterns
- The label and options of a required question nothing could answer. Not the option you chose.
- Your answers
- Saved as custom Q&A in the extension. Reused on your forms. Not sent for other people to reuse.
- The next person
- Asked that question up front, before their queue runs, instead of hitting it mid-form.
- Over time
- Aggregated miss patterns become synonyms and quirk fixes. Your profile and resume are not part of it.
Privacy
Your data is never sold
The profile you type, the resume you attach and every application you log live in the extension's storage in your browser. Optional community features (map activity, company locations, reviews and pay) are off by default; when enabled, they share only anonymous or voluntary data with other JobWhat users.
- ✓Your résumé text leaves the browser only for AI features you run (answers, résumé analysis, Resume AI, template downloads), to make that result without keeping it, or for cloud sync you turn on.
- ✓Community features are off by default; when enabled, data is anonymized and aggregated, and reviews and pay show only once enough people have contributed.
- ✓Service providers that run JobWhat — Stripe for payments, Google Analytics for anonymous usage counts, AI providers for AI features — process only what those features need.
- ✓Turn off community sharing and analytics in Settings → Advanced; export or erase everything from Settings.
- ✓Readable code: the extension ships unminified, so anyone can check what it does.
- Your profile & resume
- Stored in your browser. Used to fill forms you open; sent only for AI features you run or cloud sync you turn on.
- Job pages you visit
- Read on Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Gem, Rippling and LinkedIn to find the form and the job cards. Pages aren't sent, except the job details you send to AI features and the page address in an autofill error report.
- Community data
- Off by default. If enabled: anonymous city-level activity, company locations and logos, and reviews or pay you submit — aggregated, shared only with JobWhat users, never sold.
- Your subscription email
- Sent to our Cloudflare Worker, which asks Stripe whether it has a live subscription. Nothing else about you.
- Feedback you send
- Only when you press Send in the feedback form: your stars, category, text, optional email and attachment, build, plan, browser and the page address. Kept for a year.

Questions
Does JobWhat send my resume or profile anywhere?
Your profile, resume, cover letter, job log and settings live in the extension's storage inside your browser, and we never sell your data. What does go out: the subscription check when you unlock Pro; a one-way hash of your job-board account id (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor or ZipRecruiter) so reinstalling doesn't hand out the one-time free AI again (the privacy policy explains how it's read); anonymous usage analytics (feature counts, never job or resume content); and, only when you use them, AI features (unanswered form questions with the profile fields needed to answer them, or your résumé text for AI analysis, Resume AI and template downloads — used only to make that result, not stored by us) and cloud sync. Optional features that are off by default — the community map, company reviews, pay & benefits, interview reviews and employer communities — would send only the anonymous or voluntary data described in the privacy policy if enabled. Analytics and any community sharing you turn on can be switched off in Settings → Advanced.
Which job boards does it fill?
Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, Gem and Rippling — including Workday's account-and-wizard flow, which most tools skip. On LinkedIn it adds the log / hide / queue buttons and the colour coding; it doesn't fill LinkedIn's own Easy Apply forms yet.
Does the Autofill button submit the application?
Only on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, and only when everything is filled and nothing needs review: then Auto Submit (on by default; turn it off in Settings → Autofill) presses Submit once and the log records the result. Anywhere else, or if anything is left for you, Autofill fills the form and flags what it left; you review and press Submit. The apply queue follows the same rules.
What happens when the queue can't finish an application?
The tab is left open where it stopped — a CAPTCHA, a sign-in wall, a validation error — and the log entry becomes “Failed submit” with the reason in its notes, so you can finish by hand.
What are AI answers for, and what do they send?
The built-in rules know the usual fields. For questions they don't recognise — an oddly worded dropdown, a time-zone question — AI answers routes them to the best available AI provider to answer from your profile. It's opt-in: turning it on shows exactly what is sent (the question and its options, your profile fields, your custom Q&A, the job title and company) and what never is (your resume and cover letter files, your job log, passwords). Nothing is stored. Every AI answer is flagged in the badge so you can check it before you submit.
What happens when a form asks something JobWhat can't answer?
If it's required, the badge asks you right there — a dropdown from the form's own options or a text box — fills it, and remembers the answer for every other form that asks the same thing. The queue does the same: a job pauses as “Needs answers” instead of failing at Submit. And because the same custom questions trip everyone up, JobWhat shares the question (its label and options — never your answer) so whoever queues that job next is asked before it runs. Your Metrics tab shows how many questions you've shared and how many heads-ups you got from others.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Free keeps Autofill, Job Alerts, Swimlanes, Communities, the job log, the LinkedIn buttons and colours, and viewing, hiding and archiving jobs, with no count limits. It comes with a one-time amount of AI; Watch, Queue and Applied use it because they score each job against your résumé. When it's used up, AI features and those three actions show “Limit reached” until you upgrade or add more AI (a one-time top-up, you choose the amount, that never expires). Pro adds an AI allowance with every payment, multiple résumés, cloud sync and résumé template downloads — $9 a month, or $49 a year (55% less, with the whole year's AI up front).
How do I cancel?
From the Plan tab in the extension — “Manage subscription” opens Stripe's billing portal. There are no licence keys to keep track of; Pro is tied to the email you paid with.
